Artline paint markers function through valve action, and so a sufficient amount of ink will need to be pushed out prior to writing when it is first used.

INSTRUCTION FOR PAINT MARKER

• Before first use, remove cap and hold marker with the nib side facing up.
  Press down nib with your thumb once to release air.
• Replace cap and shake well.
• Depress the nib lightly a few times for sufficient ink flow.
• Do not press the nib too hard as excessive pressure can result in blotting.
• If the ink colour fades, wipe the nib with a piece of tissue paper or cloth.
